Homemade soaps can have many benefits.
Homemade soap will be free of cancer causing and estrogen increasing parabens, which you will find in store bought soaps.
You can make soaps that are free from allergens, such as perfumes and dyes. These are bad for your health and the environment, and are added to most store bought soaps.

This homemade soap recipe is one of my favorite. The vanilla scent is amazing and the almonds are great for exfoliating.

1 tbsp almond oil
1/8 tsp natural vanilla essential oil
4 ounce bar of Castile soap
Grind the almonds to a powder in a food processor or coffee grinder.
Shred the Castile soap with a cheese grater and set aside.
Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan then reduce heat to a simmer.
Remove the pan from the heat and add the almond powder, almond oil, and vanilla oil, Stir until blended fully.
Use a ladle or spoon to place the soap into a mold.
Let your homemade soap harden, approx. 6 hours.
